After a couple of days fo sim shaping and an entirely unnecessary shopping interlude and brief visit to the Necronom space station, I decided that my undisciplined ways weren't enough to to help me focus on the next helmet release.

So, now I'm back in quite a roomy cage and I suspect I may be there for a while - at least until i can show some test version for helmet 1.3 - with maintenance functions.

It will have -
Optional configurable time setting for periods between regular maintenance requirements.
Configurable grace period for the poor bane to actually make it to a maintenance station.
Violations for non-attendance of scheduled maintenance.
Building detection - so structures and areas may be set as prohibited to banes.

If you have other ideas, please drop me a notecard so it can go on the worklist. I won't guarantee any suggestion is in the next release, but it will go on a list.

SJ

Pausing for a moment during the next phase of the bane helmet, I return briefly to another love of mine. Region landscaping. Yeah, I like playing with terraforming and making hills.

So, there's now a castle on top of the hill in Xylophilous. A place for Miss Kathy to overlook her sim and for the other renters and guests to wander around. Furniture and some nice wall hangings will come next then I must get back to helmet crafting.

Rental plots are available in various sizes, so go see at:
http://www.kathy-estate.com/Willkommen_Welcome.html

A shameless plug.

Wow. A little over 2 months since I read Eudeamon, and I've finished making my own idea of the Bane helmet for Second Life. I started out, unable to script in LSL and now, I'm a little bit more capable. But, it seems to have worked. Kathi, one of my beta testers seemed happy when I left her. Of course, she didn't say much, hardly surprising, considering.

Her initial review of the helmet is here, and some pictures of her in the finished version:
http://kathipaine.blogspot.com/2008/02/yesterday-dream-came-true-for-me.html
http://picasaweb.google.de/KathiPaine/SecondLife

Whew. Now I get to plan enhancements for version 1.1. As if hud blindfolds, vision restriction, a host of Restrained Life compatibility isn't enough. :)

It's never enough, always room for improvement. All suggestions gratefully received.

It comes with an original black latex banesuit skin as well, just in case you don't have something suitable to wear with a shiny featureless ovoid, only 4 small filters to provide your breath...

Also available from Marine's store in Pak
secondlife://Pak/76/61/105
and the Little Shop of Kink in Myeolchi
http://world.secondlife.com/place/4e842391-020f-226d-d0e7-c3f8c482377b
